ave the Hückebein a little bench time. Used some of the kit decals and the raven comes from Dragon Fokker D. VII which I figured would be fitting. (Hückebein is a nickname for a raven in a German story if I'm not mistaking). I also wanted to give the exhaust nozzle a burned look. I used silver as a base, sprayed a narrow band of flat blue followed by a broader band of hull red (both thinned more than normal). To blend this in I oversprayed with smoke with a tiny drop of gold leaf mixed in.....it's not quite there yet, I think it needs some black pigments at the very tip and then some flat varnish.....to be continued!

Your camo pattern looks like some kind of primative writting. Very nice job.Gary

Beautiful model and excellent paint job. How are those models of AmTech?

This one fits like Tamiya (in fact Tamiya bought the moulds and sold it under it's own name as well) I think the panel lines are on the deep side, but it's really a good, well engineered kit.

@Duncan: check a couple of comments above....
@Holger: Just painted the rockets...when they are dry I can wipe off the dust and out on a dull coat...the end is near 😉

Sounds like a good kit in the wrong scale😉

...The end is near.. would have possibly been one of the thoughts that an allied pilot had after spotting such an aircraft in his 6´clock position!😢

It's done...the decals on the underside started to to wrinkle as soon as the matte coat touched them...I did use decal softener after applying them..they were smooth as a baby's bottom, now they have really bad silvering 🙁 I'm afraid to touch it again...so I say it's finished!

Hi Wim,
nice clean paint job you did. The burned out jet exhaust is looking fine!
The nightfighter variant is a pretty idea and the camo is corresponding this theme nicely!
I`m excited ........

Nice paint scheme. I've been wanting to do the AmTech or Tamiya model of the Ta-183 for a while but hard to find.
