Per prendere confidenza con le istruzioni e rendermi conto di quali colori siano essenziali e potenzialmente da acquistare e quali no ho fotocopiato le istruzioni ed ho assegnato ad ogni colore del modello (as es [A] Flat Back etc) e ho colorato le componenti nello stampo e nelle varie fasi di assembraggio.

GRAZIE al database di colori presente nel sito scalemates.com ho ricavato i valori cardinali (RGB e HEX) per comparare i colori a mia disposizione, in caso di leggera discordanza o quantitativo da utilizzare in parti piccole o nascoste ovvierò combinando quanto a disposizione.

in HEX) to compare the colors available to me, in case of slight discrepancy or quantity to be used in small or hidden parts I will use combining of what is available.

Dovrei aver chiaro quello che mi serve per le vernici.
Devo reperire sicuramente il GUN METAL model color non lo trovo opterò per tamiya X-10, il rosso che ho a disposizione e troppo scuro e smorto comprerò anche il rosso matt per l'esterno preferisco eppoi mi serve come colore base RGB
Per gli altri colori previsti cercherò di farli dai colori a mia disposizione, tanto è un allenamento per modelli a cui tengo di più e che realizzerò con l'acrilico.
Credo che questo sarà l'ultimo che faccio completamente con gli enamels.

I must definitely find the GUN METAL model color I do not find I will opt for Tamiya X-10, the red I have available and too dark and dull I will also buy the red matt for the outside I prefer and I serve as a base color RGB
For the other colors provided I will try to make them from the colors at my disposal, so much is a training for models that I care more and that I will realize with acrylic.
I think this will be the last one I do completely with enamels.

Живко ДжаковA favorite machine. And it is not found in stores. And there are so many beautiful livery. I am nobly envious of the project. 🙂 I really liked the approach with the colours. I also often do such research. I'll be sending out my gun metal color choices tonight. The "supplier" here has this color conversion table. It's not complete, but it's useful. hobbyland.bg/colourtable

Lorenzo deMediciFirst of all, thanks for your advice, I'll keep it in mind.
The model is old, it's about 20 years old and some specific colors have been out of stock for a while. I bought it in 2003/2004 then I was busy and always put it off.
Maybe this time is the right time 😮) I have assembled a Dornier time leter but I have to improve a lot, vinyl for the windows, masking with adequate tape (Tamiya I thought) dilute the paint better, lighter brush strokes etc etc etc I have other projects I care about and want to practice. It will definitely be better than the Dornier ;o)

Lorenzo deMediciRegarding the approach, your appreciation comforts me, I wanted to have some absolute values to refer to in the jungle of existing codings and variants, the intent would ultimately be to equip myself with a set of basic W B R G B matt and glossy colors and find a method to use either RGB but perhaps better CMYK or another methodology for mixing colors perhaps with a graduated test tube. This is for simple colors while metallic and special
I think they should be purchased anyway. Do you think it is too complicated an approach or perhaps given your experience that it does not bring benefits?

Живко ДжаковOh no. Using RGB or CMYK values is very misleading. I personally do not use such methods in the hobby. Otherwise, I work in a digital printing house, I understand enough about color patterns and a lot more such nonsense. It is appropriate to use different scales: RAL, US Federal Standard, RLM. The difference is that these are paint scales and they are standard defined.

I had in fact doubts about the real possibility ... would need tools from paint industry obviously, you saved me a lot of time, I understood your explanation.
I think I'll use the hex or rgb encoding as a tonal comparison value anyway. Just as an indicative reference to be able to "compare", similar color. I can only lighten or darken. I will practice on this anyway because I want to improve on color management. I will try with some test models.
