I attempted a variegated paint scheme, deep blue at the rocker panel to a pearl white. Retrospect I did not get enough of the blue above the trim line to be really effective.

I used aluminum foil to create the chrome trim along the body lines and the center of the hood. Glued it to the model with rubber cement and trimmed it with a new x-acto knife.

For the interior, I went with the same pearl white with minimal blue accents.

Final steps to add the bumper, disappointed as to the fit. The other side of the car, the bumper fit nicely. But, alas, it was an AMT kit!

The shaded paint is cool. The trim came out great.

Love the pearl white to blue. Gorgeous! I'm leery of the foul technique but maybe I'll be brave enough to try some day...yours turned out great

How can you not love a car with a rear overhang like that?

Album info

I just liked the way this car looked. I attempted a variegated paint scheme, deep blue at the rocker panel to a pearl white. I used aluminum foil to create the chrome trim along the body lines. Glued it to the model with rubber cement and trimmed it with a new x-acto knife.
