The U S Marines have opted not to upgrade the M60A1 tank to the A3 version. However, they did install the state-of-the-art reactive armor array for improved survivability against shaped-charged missles and shells. The M60A1+ also has the RISE program including stabilized gun, passive searchlight, new air cleaner, etc.
