I hope not, as I'm also eagerly awaiting this kit. The T-34 you mentioned is kit RM-5040, so there's still hoping.

Even better would be a KV-1S, because the kit from Trumpeter is... not optimal.

Thanks for the update! So it's Besposhadny again - already represented, with some inaccuracies, by the old Trumpeter kit. I hope they include the required alternative parts to cover the various variants of the 1942 model with the simplifed weldet turret. For example: 2 different applique armor plates for the driver's front plate; two versions of the engine access hatch (domed and flat), and finally some mounting brackets for the stowage box on the left fender.

Here's a preview on RFM's site: ryefield-model.com/Item/Show.asp?M=2&D=798

From what I can see, there are the following options:
* Cone-shaped or box-shaped gunner's periscope
* Domed and flat engine access hatches
* Diamond-shaped and round mounting plates for towing shackles
* Split-link tracks with guide bumps
* Early and late drive sprockets
* Return rollers with or without lightening holes
* Early and late engine deck grillles

I like the choice of track, as this type is more suitable for a 1942 vehicle. The round mounting plates for the towing shackles would be more appropriated for a late summer of 1942 vehicle with a casted turret, but they will be a welcome addition to the spare parts box.

The late drive sprockets and return rollers seem more suited to a KV-1S, but I'm not sure. The early engine grilles are incorrect, but again very welcome for use on Trumpeter kits if you want to model a 1939 or 1940.
