Hi Dave, in which way? I built FM´s Slave I some monts ago and the decals I used were o.k.. On the other hand the Y-wing is also on my agenda within the next year. So every hint is welcome. 🙂

I just built the Jedi Starfighter and this one. I laid the decals down, let them dry, then put Solvaset on it and it just curled up and died. The other decals once dried (with Microsol and Microset) started to flake off. I eventually just painted the missing or broken decals by hand. Very frustrating, especially since they were being built for a display.

Be careful when you put the engine struts on the Y-Wing. Make sure (double and triple check) that the correct struts go to the correct corner of the engine. The instructions are not very clear, and they are handed, in other words, you will have trouble getting the struts to fit if they are not in the correct place and they are rather fragile.

The same problem at the Jedi starfighter too?

For the decals...A BIG YES.
Otherwise, the kits fit especially well and they are really cool when complete.

o.k. I will take care for this. I intend to build "gold 2". There wil be the option to paint the yellow and bluegrey areas.
